We appreciate our team of professional volunteers, which include lawyers, accountants, business coaches, and marketing experts who provide our clients with support and knowledge. If you are interested in volunteering your expertise for a training, submit a speaker application.
Through training, individual counseling, facilitated peer group support, specialized resources, and access to capital, we help more than 1,500 women per year gain the skills, connections and confidence needed to successfully navigate the challenging path leading to sustainable business ownership as a career. With offices in Frederick County, Montgomery County, and Prince George’s County, MWBC plays a major role in bolstering Maryland’s standing as a top state for women business owners.
Our impactful work will continue, but we are seeking to reach and engage a new audience—women entrepreneurs still working full-time jobs. We are finding success with our efforts on social media to establish a relationship with this untapped market. However, to build a more solid connection with this growing group of business owners, MWBC needs a new website.
Teri Olivier won MWBC’s 2018 StartRight! Business Plan Competition. Her company, Celebrate Work from Home, LLC will support the growing number of remote workers seeking a connection with similarly working peers.
